Cemlyn Bay Tide – Timelapse

Cemlyn bay timelapse using a Canon 7D and 10-22mm lens.

The camera was in bulb mode and the shutter duration was programmed by an arduino system currently under development. Not a serious test as I had to cut it short because I seriously unestimated how fast the tide was coming in and there was no significant change in light levels.

The long term plan is to develop a time lapse system controlled by an arduino mega micro processor fitted with a rtc and a light meter ic (TSL230R Light to Frequency Converter). The programme will talk to a netbook also connected to the camera. This communication should allow automatic iso ramping and shutter speed control.
