Hi Kev,

thanks for the quick reply.
Appreciate the advise. I think I am going to go for it anyway as the alternative price for kessler is mad.
All the best, and keep up the great work.

Hi Lee,

I don't own one of the systems yet :) From everything I've seen the DP kit will be excellent for controlling camera moves and is very competitively priced. You should add approx 20% to the price to cover import duties etc. It is possible to buy the rails from the UK which might reduce the cost of postage etc. There was a thread on the forum with details.

Hi kev

I have a question for you if you don't mind.
But first I would like to say that I really enjoy your images especially the highspeed.
So onto my question, I am on the brink of buying the Dynamic perception dolly and controller, from what I understand (via timescapes forum) you have one?
I would like your opinion on it (if you have it of course), and was there any problems with tax or hidden fees on uk import from the USA?
I am keen to get started on some camera moves in my timelapses but want to make sure my money isn't wasted.
I must say it sure looks great and in comparison (to Kessler) the price is good.
Thanks in advance
Best

Hi Phil,

I always stay with the camera equipment. I wouldn't consider shooting through windows as the quality would degrade and it is likely that condensation would form. Keeping dew off the lens is the biggest problem and I've settled on a 12v dew control system that heats the lens which keep condensation off of it.

Software varies: for simple star trail composites I use Startrails.exe a free downloadable program, for timelapse videos I use Adobe after effects and premiere pro.

regards
Kev

Awesome works. Big fan. Question about time lapse photography. Do you stay with the equipment for the duration or do u mount the camera in a car (through windshield/windows) and leave the car parked for the duration and return? Also what software do you use to process the batch of time lapse photos?

Avid amateur photog,
