Hello,
I recently purchased this lens for my canon 7D. I had the same lens for my old Nikon D90 for the past two years. Its been great, however with the new lens I’ve noticed the image quality is terrible at f3.5 and f5.6 (This guy had the same issue http://lumenatic.com/2011/07/21/samyang-8-mm-sharpness-test-or-its-not-a-bug-its-a-feature/). I was wondering if you’ve had any problems with the Samyang and 7D combination. If not, I will make sure I can get a replacement.
Many thanks,
Ps, I love pylons
Wide open the Samyang fisheye isn’t brilliant but very few lens perform at their best wide open. If you accept the limitations of the lens based on the low cost of the purchase then I’m happy with my sample.
Hi,
I like your pano. What rail settings are you using with the NN5? I have the same camera/lens setup.
cheers,

A very nice result you got there!
I have the same Camera lens combination and I use Nodal Ninja NN3 MK II> Stiching in PT GUI gives a lot of errors I am almost ready to give up my settings are H rail 5.7 and V rail 9.5. Also in Zenith shot camera need to be unmounted because to feet above the rotator. Would you give your advice please?
I can’t help you with the settings as I’ve moved on to an NN5 but I don’t recall having to use anything unusual with the NN3. It might be worth asking the question on the Nodal Ninja forum.
